Job summary

TE Connectivity in Arden, North Carolina, is seeking an Assembly Operator V for the weekend shift (Fri-Sun, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM). You will perform optical cable assembly, termination, testing, and process improvements while supporting new product launches.

The role requires strong hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and experience with fiber optic components and test equipment (oscilloscope, DMM). A relocation stipend is offered and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience, including 2+ years in fiber optic assembly manufacturing.
• Proficient dexterity and motor skills for intricate work.
• Able to work in a clean room and wear PPE.
• Experience with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscope and DMM.

Responsibilities

• Polish and test fiber optic cables.
• Assemble and package fiber optic connector components.
• Operate fiber router and complete over-molding process as needed.
• Support prototype and pre-release NPI builds as needed.
• Measure components with calipers or gauges.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment.
• Train team members on products, process, and procedures.
• Lead advanced assembly processes for fiber optic products.
