Job summary

TE Connectivity in Arden, North Carolina is seeking an Assembly Operator V for 1st shift to perform advanced fiber optic assembly, testing, and termination. You will set up test stations, assist in new product introductions, and help reduce costs while boosting manufacturing efficiency.

You should be a self-starter with strong hand-eye coordination, keen attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a team environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years in fiber optic assembly manufacturing.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Experience in clean room environment.
• Able to read blueprints and use microscopes.
• Proficient with measuring devices and electrical test equipment.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Polish and test fiber optic cables.
• Assemble and package fiber optic components.
• Operate fiber router and over-molding process.
• Support prototype and pre-release builds (NPI).
• Measure components with calipers and gauges.
• Maintain traceability paperwork for products.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Train team members on products and processes.
• Lead advanced assembly processes as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing.
