Optical Cable Corporation is seeking an assembler II to join the production team in Swannanoa, NC. The role involves polishing and testing fiber optic cables, reading drawings, and terminating single and multi-fiber cables with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 12 months assembly experience.
• Must be able to pass Solder Pot Certification.
• Ability to read and follow basic instructions and assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

• Polish and test fiber optic cables.
• Cut and prepare fiber cable for termination per Shop Packs.
• Assemble and package fiber optic connector components.
• Terminate single and multi-fiber cables.
• Read Bills of Materials and Shop Packs including router and pick list.
• Inspect assemblies for conformance to standards.
• Maintain traceability through operational paperwork.
• Work in a team and communicate to ensure customer satisfaction.
