Job summary

TE Connectivity in Fairview, NC is seeking an Assembly Operator IV for the 2nd shift to perform optical connector assembly, termination, and testing of fiber optic cable assemblies. The role includes supporting process development and ensuring quality while maintaining a cleanroom environment and following TE policies.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of manufacturing experience with one year in fiber optic assembly, and strong hand-eye coordination.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of two years of manufacturing experience, including at least one year in fiber optic assembly.
• Proficient hand-eye dexterity and motor skills for delicate work.
• Able to read prints and understand drawings.
• Able to work in a cleanroom and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Polish and test fiber optic cables.
• Terminate single and multi-fiber cables.
• Assemble and package fiber optic connector components as needed.
• Operate fiber router and complete over-molding process as needed.
• Support prototype product builds, test product builds, and pre-release NPI builds.
• Measure components using calipers, gauges, or other measuring devices.
• Inspect own work against quality standards and prints.
