Job summary

Socket Fiber is seeking a Network Fiber Technician I to install, maintain, and repair fiber lines delivering high‑speed internet to homes and businesses. You’ll work in the field, often from a bucket truck, coordinating with dispatch and ensuring safe, quality service.

The role requires a strong work ethic, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and a willingness to work outdoors in diverse weather. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow in a hands‑on technician career.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair mainline and service fiber cables and related equipment.
• Familiarity with bucket truck operation for occasional backup work.
• Dispatch to trouble ticket issues to resolve problems and restore service.
• Follow safety protocols on every job site.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with team and supervisors.
• Provide responsive, courteous service during installations or repairs.
• Maintain valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Show up consistently and work in all weather conditions.
