Hotwire Communications seeks a Service Technician in Pensacola, FL to install, reconnect and troubleshoot IP/video/Internet services, including fiber optics and RF systems. The role involves configuring routers and Wi-Fi, performing drops and testing wiring from equipment room to customer site.

Candidates should have 5+ years of field experience, fiber cabling know-how, and a valid driver's license. On-call shifts and weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience installing, testing and troubleshooting cable, phone and internet.
• Fiber optic cabling experience required.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Valid and clean driver’s license in the state of hire.
• Comfort with ladder work and working at heights.
• High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• Cisco certifications (CCT/CCENT) and Microsoft MCSA preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform reconnects, non-pay disconnects, and service changes per company procedures.
• Troubleshoot fiber optic networks and IP-based services.
• Configure and administer routers, access points, and Wi-Fi.
• Troubleshoot IP issues from demarc to customer premises equipment.
• Install CAT5/CAT6 drop wires and connectors.
• Work on on-call rotation and weekends/evenings as needed.
• Provide equipment installation and support at customer sites.
