Job summary

Nextlink seeks an OSP Fiber Maintenance Supervisor to ensure network reliability, manage outages, and coordinate the maintenance team across schedules and events. The role requires hands-on fiber splicing, bucket truck operation, and leadership to keep projects on track in Texas.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, follow DOT regulations, and communicate effectively with field crews and management. This position involves night work and field travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience with fiber tools preferred.
• Ability to splice fiber optic cables in varying conditions.
• Experience reading blueprints and wire diagrams required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Splice fiber optic cables in various conditions and environments.
• Coordinate maintenance team and OT hours, including after-hours events.
• Record data and document results for management and engineering.
• Lead safety practices and ensure DOT compliance during field operations.
