Job summary

Fiberlight seeks a Fiber Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability of our outside plant (OSP) network across Texas. You will be the single point of contact for all OSP maintenance activities within the assigned work zone, responding to outages and driving timely restoration of services.

The role oversees preventive maintenance, tracks performance metrics, and ensures compliance with company standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in Telecom OSP Construction.
• Fiber splicing: testing and isolation.
• Proficient with PCs and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead outage response and maintenance activities within the assigned work zone.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to restore services quickly and safely.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for 24/7 emergency maintenance.
• Track, analyze, and report maintenance activities and costs to support performance and budget.
• Utilize diagnostic tools like 3GIS and FMS to identify network issues from OTDR readings.
