Job summary

City of Pharr is seeking a Full-Time Broadband Network Analyst in Pharr, TX. This onsite role collaborates with the Fiber Manager to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in fiber optic and wireless networks, including FTTH system design and installation.

The position involves cutting, splicing, terminating and documenting fiber, providing end-user support, training users on software, and maintaining network equipment in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of fiber to the home/premise networks.
• Experience implementing, managing, and monitoring local and wide area networks.
• Experience with wireless networks and broadband ISP networks.
• Proficient with network diagnostic tools and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in fiber optic and wireless networks.
• Design and install FTTH cables underground and on street poles; cut, splice, terminate, and document fiber.
• Provide technical end-user support and train users on software applications.
• Maintain and operate networking and video surveillance equipment in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
