Job summary

The City of Pharr, TX is hiring a Full-Time Broadband Network Analyst onsite to join a dynamic technology-focused team. You will manage fiber optic and wireless networks, install FTTH systems, and maintain communication infrastructure to serve residents and city operations.

You will diagnose issues, support end-users, and provide training on software tools while contributing to secure and reliable network services in a fast-paced municipal environment.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in fiber to the home/premise networks.
• Experience implementing, managing, and monitoring LAN/WAN.
• Experience with wireless networks.
• Familiarity with network diagnostic tools and broadband ISP networks.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with a customer-service focus.
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in fiber optic and wireless networks.
• Operate and maintain FTTH systems for public and private networks.
• Design and install cable lines underground and on street poles.
• Cut, splice, terminate, and document fiber optic cables.
• Provide technical support to end-users and train users in software applications.
• Diagnose problems and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
