Job summary

Carpenter Co. has immediate openings for a Warehouse Operator in the Fabrication Department on the 3rd shift at our Longview, NC plant. The role operates cutting and packaging machinery for foam bedding products and communicates with the department manager for material needs.

The successful candidate will run multiple pieces of equipment, read work orders, and help maximize material utilization in a high-volume setting. Forklift experience is preferred and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years manufacturing experience preferred.
• 1+ month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders.
• Use order listings to determine sizes and amounts to cut.
• Operate computer controlled cutting equipment.
• Maintain steady work pace in a high-volume department.
• Verify proper machine operations and output accuracy.
• Work independently and in a team environment.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Make machine adjustments as necessary while monitoring the output.

Carpenter Co. has immediate openings forWarehouse Operatorin ourFabrication Department on3rdshiftat ourLongview, NCmanufacturing plant. This position is responsible for the operation of machinery that cuts and packages foam bedding products. This position will communicate with department manager and lead person for direction of material needing to be cut.

This successful candidate will be expected to be efficient in the operation of several pieces of equipment within the department to determine the best material utilization.

Additional responsibilities of the Machine Operator will include:

• Ability to read and interpret work orders
• Uses order listing to determine sizes and amounts to cut.
• Ability to run computer controlled cutting equipment
• Maintain steady work pace in a high-volume department.

JobRequirements

Employment Type:Full-Time

Hours: Sunday-Thursday 9:00 pm- 5:30 am or depending on business needs

Pay Rate: $22.02-22.75 plus $1.00 shift differential for all hours worked on 2nd or 3rd shifts
