Job summary

Carpenter Co. has immediate openings for Warehouse Operator in our Fabrication Department on 3rd shift at our Longview, NC plant.

This position operates machinery that cuts and packages foam bedding products and communicates with the department manager and lead person for direction of material to be cut. Ideal candidates can read and interpret work orders, use a tape measure, run computer controlled cutting equipment, and maintain a steady, high-volume work pace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to use computerized equipment.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery that cuts and packages foam bedding products.
• Read and interpret work orders.
• Use order listings to determine sizes and amounts to cut.
• Run computer controlled cutting equipment.
• Maintain steady work pace in a high-volume department.
• Verifies proper machine operations and checks output accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Forklift experience preferred.
