Job summary

Carpenter Co. has immediate openings for Warehouse Operator in our Fabrication Department on 3rd shift at our Longview, NC manufacturing plant.

This position operates machinery that cuts and packages foam bedding products and communicates with the department manager and lead for direction of material handling. The successful candidate will be efficient in operating multiple pieces of equipment, reading work orders, and ensuring proper machine operation and output accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to use computerized equipment in daily operations
• Must be able to read and interpret work orders
• Forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery that cuts and packages foam bedding products
• Read and interpret work orders
• Use order listing to determine sizes and amounts to cut
• Run computer controlled cutting equipment
• Maintain steady work pace in a high-volume department
• Verify proper machine operations and output accuracy
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Assists with inventory as required
• Other duties as assigned by management
