Job summary

OnX is seeking a field technician to install and repair POTS, broadband, fiber, and wired/wireless networking for customers in the Cincinnati area. You will work both indoors and outdoors, climbing poles and driving a company vehicle as needed.

The role requires communication with customers, independent work, and strict safety practices. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with pole climbing training and safety footwear provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to climb and pass pole climbing school.
• Safety shoes required; weight restriction policy applies.
• Satisfactory attendance in last year and driving license.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain wiring in central office, DLC, cross connections and at customer premises.
• Explain products and services to customers and resolve understanding while promoting offerings.
• Access information systems to correct order information and activate/deactivate services.
• Maintain and create technical documentation.
• Install and repair inside wiring and jacks, including CAT5; wired and wireless networking.
• Climb poles and drive company vehicle; work outside in various weather conditions.
