Job summary

FiOptix is seeking a Full Time Technician in Toledo, OH to install or replace cable/fiber TV, internet, voice, and security services for residential and commercial subscribers. You will work with internal teams to ensure orders are completed accurately and safely.

The role requires the ability to use hand and power tools, work outdoors in varying weather, lift up to 80 lbs, and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related trade school education
• Ability to utilize small hand tools and various power tools
• Ability to install complex television and internet equipment
• Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair cable/fiber TV, voice, and internet systems; including internal and external wiring
• Test newly installed or relocated cables/fiber according to Company and customer specifications
• Troubleshoot issues with the network communication
• Repair related cable and fiber poles and towers
• Install cable and fiber support structures, including but not limited to cable racks, j-hooks, and innerduct
• Collaborate with internal customer service to ensure work orders are handled correctly and timely
• Provide education to subscribers on the use of equipment and services
• Close out work orders accurately and timely with the proper task and/or billing codes
• Adhere to safety protocols set forth by the Company, including the use of PPE as required
• Safely operate and maintain Company and customer issued tools, equipment, and vehicles
• Perform regular vehicle and tool inspections
• Other duties as assigned
