Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is hiring a Technician Fiber Installation to set up and maintain fiber networks for customers in Wood River, IL. The role involves installing, configuring equipment, and addressing service issues with a focus on reliability.

You’ll perform overtime, travel, and on-call duties as needed, in all weather conditions. Applicants must be 18+, have work authorization in the U.S., and hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum age 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone services per guidelines.
• Install, setup and configure all customer equipment.
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
• Review requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement.
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage.
• Maintain and stock vehicle and equipment; perform overtime, travel and on-call duties as needed.
• Work in all weather conditions and handle physical tasks as required.
