Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Lineman II Telecom in Wood River, IL to install and maintain fiber/telecom lines safely and efficiently. This field role requires climbing, use of hand tools, and readiness to travel for storm response, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Valid state CDL license and/or willingness to obtain it.
• Minimum of three years of relevant Lineman experience.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair complex fiber/telecom cables and materials, promptly repair any issues to ensure efficient and reliable service.
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws.
• Maintain safe work areas so that traffic flows smoothly while on the job.
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed.
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice.
• Other duties as assigned.
