Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a Fiber Installation Technician in Twinsburg, OH. You’ll install and troubleshoot fiber internet and telephone services, configure equipment, and guide customers on product usage. The job requires a valid driver's license, 18+ years old, and a high school diploma or equivalent. On-site work with potential overtime and travel involved.

• High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone per guidelines.
• Install, setup and configure all equipment.
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
• Review services with customers to ensure understanding and agreement.
• Educate customers on product and service usage.
• Clean, maintain and stock vehicle and equipment.
• Work overtime, travel and perform on-call/after-hours duties as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet, and telephone based on guidelines
• Install, setup and configure all equipment
• Identify and try to remedy sources of customer-perceived issues
• Review all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
