Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is hiring a Technician Fiber Installation to install and service fiber optic networks. You will ensure reliable service, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with customers to confirm service details, while maintaining equipment and vehicle readiness.

Ideal candidates are 18+, authorized to work in the U.S., with a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid state driver's license.

Qualifications

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone services.
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
• Educate customers on product and service usage.

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone based on guidelines
• Install, setup and configure all equipment
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues
• Review all requested services with the customer for understanding and agreement
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Do

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet, and telephone based on guidelines

• Review all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment

• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
