Job summary

Prince Telecom LLC is hiring a Fiber Installation Technician to set up and maintain fiber optic networks and related services at customer sites. You will troubleshoot issues, configure equipment, and educate customers on proper use, ensuring a smooth, reliable connection.

The role requires physical work in various weather conditions, driving responsibilities, and occasional overtime or on-call shifts to support service continuity and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver’s license (not provisional) with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet and telephone per guidelines.
• Install, set up and configure all equipment.
• Identify and remedy sources of customer‑perceived issues.
• Review requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement.
• Educate the customer on product and service usage.
• Maintain and stock vehicle and equipment; perform vehicle checks.
• Work overtime, travel, and be on-call/after-hours as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.

What You’ll Do

• Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet, and telephone based on guidelines
• Install, set up and configure all equipment
• Identify and try to remedy sources of customer‑perceived issues
• Review all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on‑call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be provisional), including an acceptable driving record

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
