Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC in Cleveland, Ohio, is hiring a Cable Installation Technician to safely install and troubleshoot video services, internet, telephone, and alarm equipment in customer homes and businesses.

You will identify and remedy issues, review services with customers, educate on product usage, and maintain vehicles and equipment. Training and career growth are supported with competitive weekly pay and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Previous experience in cable installation or related field preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, and troubleshoot video service, internet, telephone, and/or alarm equipment in customer homes and businesses
• Identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues
• Review all requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Do

• Install, disconnect, and troubleshoot video service, internet, telephone, and/or alarm equipment in customer homes and businesses

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Previous experience in cable installation or a related field preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
