Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a skilled Laborer/Groundman to support aerial and underground outside plant telecom construction in Denver, CO. You will participate in FTTH installations, conduit and manhole work, trenching, HDD, fiber/splice tasks, and related duties on diverse projects.

You will follow Foreman directions, wear PPE, lift up to 70 lbs, and operate or assist with trucks and equipment as needed. A valid license and potential DOT card are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
• Climbing certification or pole-work experience preferred.
• MVR check and safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Follow Foreman instructions to complete field labor tasks safely and efficiently.
• Assist with shoveling, brush clearing, site cleanup, and material handling.
• Monitor excavation work to prevent utility strikes.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
• Operate or assist with trucks, trailers, and equipment as trained.
• Manage inventory and tools; follow jobsite procedures.
• Climb poles safely when trained and certified.
