As a Field Technician I, you will play a hands‑on role in supporting and maintaining Lumen’s fiber network and customer infrastructure.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; 1+ years in network monitoring, installation, or maintenance.
Knowledge of locating fiber optic cable, right-of-way, and As-Builts.
Must have PC skills and be well versed in Microsoft Windows and Office applications.

Responsibilities

Install, test, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and fiber infrastructure.
Troubleshoot service‑impacting issues and perform corrective actions to restore customer services.
Support customer installations, service turn‑ups, maintenance activities, and repair work.
Maintain and support ILA sites and network infrastructure throughout assigned service territories.
Respond to service‑affecting incidents and urgent customer requirements in a timely manner.
Complete work orders, documentation, and system updates accurately and efficiently.
Safely operate company vehicles, tools, and field equipment while following established safety guidelines.
Participate in scheduled on‑call rotations and travel throughout assigned territories to support network operations and customer needs.
