Job summary

IQ Fiber, LLC is seeking a Construction Coordinator to manage residential and commercial fiber projects from start to finish. You will lead field surveys, permitting, BOM development, NTP creation, subcontractor oversight, and as-built verification to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires strong field presence, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to troubleshoot and make independent decisions in a 24/7 operation environment while maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; two-year degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of telecommunications construction experience.
• Experience with walk-out surveys, design, budgeting, and BOMs including GPON; experience managing contractor relationships and coordinating multi-site construction projects.
• Industry certifications such as NCTI, SCTE, or BCT/E preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; ability to learn new applications including Vetro.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean MVR, insurance, and the ability to drive in various conditions.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds, climb ladders, and work in adverse weather.
• Availability for a 24/7 operation including emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Own construction projects end-to-end from survey to closeout.
• Conduct field surveys and design route paths for service delivery.
• Obtain permits and easements before work begins.
• Create BOMs and manage material ordering with contractors.
• Prepare and issue NTP packages for contractors.
• Verify field work against design specs and monitor subcontractor performance.
• Troubleshoot on-site issues to protect schedule, cost, and quality.
• Update design schematics to reflect as-built conditions and provide data to documentation.
• Submit regular reports on construction activity and progress.
• Coordinate with customers and internal/external departments for planning and budgeting.
• Ensure OSHA safety standards and IQ Fiber policies are followed.
