Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. is seeking a Buried Drop Technician to perform the physical installation of buried copper, fiber, and coaxial cables from the hub to customers’ residences. Overnight travel may be required based on business needs.

You will join a team that values technology, safety, and customer connections, with a focus on quality and reliability. The role involves installing, testing, and promoting Kinetic services, interpreting plans, and training new teammates in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel overnight out of state.
• Ability to work overtime, callouts, and standby as needed.
• Color vision to distinguish color-coded cable.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical installation of buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop to connect network to customer homes.
• Use technical skills and customer focus to create connections with customers.
• Interpret work drawings and complete necessary paperwork.
• Sell and promote Kinetic products and services.
• Train new employees on daily tasks.
• Operate handheld computer to manage tasks.
• Perform underground location tasks for gas, power, and lines.
• Operate trenching and boring equipment for burying cable.
• Perform other assigned duties.
