Job summary

Uniti is hiring a Buried Drop Technician to install buried copper, fiber and coaxial cable from hubs to customers’ homes. You will travel overnight as needed and promote Kinetic products while ensuring safety and quality on every job.

This role requires physical work, the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and the capability to read work drawings. You will operate a hand-held device and may train new staff as part of your duties.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical and screenings.
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform demanding field tasks.
• Willingness to travel overnight/out of state as required.
• Demonstrates basic technology and math skills and color discrimination.

Responsibilities

• Install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cable from hub to customer residence.
• Promote Kinetic products and services to customers.
• Interpret work drawings and complete required paperwork.
• Train new employees on daily job functions.
