Job summary

Uniti, through its Kinetic unit, seeks a Buried Drop Technician to install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drops from the hub to homes. The role may require overnight travel and out-of-state assignments as business needs arise.

You will promote Kinetic services and work with a team that values technology and customer connections, with safety as a priority in a physically demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk ½ mile+ with ease while operating a drop plow.
• Willingness to travel overnight, including out of state.
• Basic technology and math skills required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform the physical installation of buried copper, fiber & coaxial drop cable to connect Kinetic’s network to the customer’s residence.
• Use technical skills to provide reliable service and act with customer focus.
• Interpret work drawings and complete necessary paperwork.
• Sell and promote Kinetic products and services.
• Train new employees on daily job functions.
• Operate handheld computer for tasks and updates.
