Nex-Tech is seeking an Access Technician I in Salina, KS to install, repair and test transport and access network equipment. The role supports field operations across telecommunications systems and requires hands-on troubleshooting in a field environment.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or equivalent plus experience in installation and repair, with knowledge of fiber optics and network equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and test transport and access network equipment.
• Maintain fiber transport systems, routers, firewalls, and switching systems.
• Perform service orders including installation and testing of network devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and customer equipment issues.
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment sites and systems.
• Assist with fiber restoration and testing operations.
• Support communication and coordination with internal teams and customers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and service records
