Job summary

Clarvida is seeking a FFT Therapist to provide structured, family-focused treatment in homes and community settings in Colorado. You’ll work with youth, caregivers, and referral sources, delivering FFT with fidelity while engaging families in skills practice and discharge planning.

The role includes ongoing FFT training and supervision, with travel as needed. A Master’s degree and Colorado licensure are required or eligible, with strong communication and cultural responsiveness essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related behavioral health field; Colorado DORA license or eligible.
• Experience with children, adolescents, and families; knowledge of development, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and culturally responsive practice.
• Ability to engage families experiencing conflict or mandated services; organize a field based caseload; make sound clinical decisions; and accept coaching.
• Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, and technology skills; learn electronic health records, FFT platforms, and agency systems.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, current auto insurance, and access to a safe, reliable vehicle for required travel; pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver FFT through engagement, motivation, relational assessment, behavior change, and generalization, following the program’s model.
• Build balanced relationships with family members; adapt engagement to culture, strengths, needs, and circumstances.
• Assess family relationships and develop individualized goals and safety or crisis plans with families and the treatment team.
• Coach and practice communication, problem solving, parenting, emotion regulation, and other skills.
• Help families apply and maintain new skills across home, school, and community settings; plan for transition.
• Communicate with referring agencies and coordinate with caseworkers, schools, courts, and other providers as appropriate.
• Maintain FFT records and participate in supervision, fidelity monitoring, and required trainings.
• Attend Clinical Services meetings and adhere to HIPAA guidelines; ensure confidentiality and professional boundaries.
