Job summary

Center for Justice Innovation in Queens, NY, seeks a Functional Family Therapy (FFT) Therapist for a community-based violence prevention program. The role focuses on intensive, voluntary services to reduce recidivism and improve family outcomes.

Responsibilities include home-based therapy, collaboration with families, and engagement with referrals. Requires a Master's in a relevant field and bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or related human service field.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience with cognitive behavioral techniques and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide home-based FFT in homes, offices, or community settings (not remote).
• Engage clients with creativity and persistence to build strong therapeutic relationships.
• Collaborate with families using a strengths-based approach.
• Advocate for youth and families and support growth.
• Provide culturally sensitive and accessible services.
• Help families develop problem-solving skills at times/locations accessible to them.
• Engage referrals to introduce families to FFT.
• Participate in community events to foster local connections.
• Manage caseload up to 12 cases with accurate records.
• Enter progress notes in the CSS system for FFT reporting.
• Attend weekly team meetings and supervision.
• Facilitate access to services for clinical and practical needs.
• Travel to client homes as needed to deliver therapy.
• Attend FFT training and supervision to maintain fidelity.
