Job summary

JLL is seeking a Category Manager, Construction Services, to lead category strategies for Furniture, Flooring & Equipment and related supplier management across the U.S. You will drive sourcing, negotiations, and supplier relationships, enabling cost efficiencies and stakeholder value.

The role supports PDS Sourcing functions and helps establish global category processes within a transforming organization. Qualified candidates will have a BA/BS and 5+ years in procurement, with construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement-related experience.
• Construction category experience is a plus.
• MBA a plus.
• Expert knowledge of contracts and contract language and pricing.
• Subject matter expert for building and construction categories.
• Proven ability to deliver results in challenging environments.
• Expertise in sourcing with demonstrated change management.
• Ability to facilitate strategic supplier relationships with senior leaders.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Collaborative and influencing style with teamwork focus.
• Ability to work across time zones.
• Strong PC skills with MS applications and data reporting.
• Willingness to learn and apply new technologies.
• Partner with functional leads to drive benefits for JLL and clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain category strategies aligned with business goals.
• Lead sourcing, RFPs, bid analysis and contract approvals.
• Create category plans with supplier summaries and market insights.
• Negotiate and implement contracting strategies within spend areas.
• Rationalize the supply base and manage supplier relationships.
• Use SRM tools to monitor performance and resolve issues.
• Provide market intelligence to improve cost and value.
• Support PDS Sourcing initiatives and governance activities.
