Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for their Maternal‑Fetal Medicine Clinic in Houston, Texas. This full-time position requires operating ultrasound equipment, performing high-risk MFM ultrasounds, and providing support to patients and physicians in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent.
• Minimum six months experience as an ultrasound technician in OB/GYN and/or MFM setting preferred.
• ARDMS OB/GYN or Fetal Echo certified or eligible within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys.
• Assist physicians with procedures like amniocentesis.
• Document exam findings accurately in reporting systems.
• Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations.

Skills

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Skilled in operating ultrasound equipment

Ability to react calmly in emergency situations

Ability to recognize ethical issues in care

Education

Graduated from an accredited sonography program

Maintain ARDMS certification or eligible

Continuing education credits evidence

CPR certification preferred
