Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group seeks a Sonographer to join its Maternal Fetal Medicine team in Silver Spring, MD. The sonographer will perform diagnostic ultrasound for high-risk pregnancies, work with perinatologists, and contribute to preliminary and final reports.

Responsibilities include detailed fetal surveys, assisting with procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation in reporting systems while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited sonography program with relevant degree.
• Maintain or be eligible for ARDMS certification (OB/GYN or FE encouraged).
• CPR certification preferred and continuing education credits as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys including twins and triplets.
• Assist with procedures such as amniocentesis and CVS.
• Document exam findings, measurements, and images in reporting systems.
• Record patient history and indications according to protocols and standards.
• Generate preliminary and final reports for physician review.
• Communicate findings with interpreting physicians to support accuracy.
• Ensure documentation is complete and compliant with safety standards.
• Rotate to other locations to cover absences as needed.
