Job summary

SIFF is seeking a Festival Programming Assistant to support the Festival Programming Department's day-to-day administration for the Seattle International Film Festival. The role involves coordinating submissions, managing a team of pre-screeners, and ensuring smooth planning and reporting throughout the festival cycle.

Hours include onsite work in Washington with a hybrid model and up to 40 hours per week Nov 2, 2026 through May 28, 2027, with salary adjustments per City guidelines.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience with data entry.
• Proficient using Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Prior experience in some aspects of Film Festivals.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Demonstrated commitment to racial equity and social justice.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Festival Program Manager to ensure SIFF 2027 programmers have information and support.
• Manage team of Festival pre-screening viewers.
• Manage submissions via FilmFreeway, create discount codes, answer [e-mail] queries, track numbers and films watched.
• Input data into the film database about other festival programming.
• Participate in all programming meetings.
• Prepare programming board and materials for SIFF 2027 scheduling.
• Enter pre-show, trailer, and introduction information into database.
• Schedule introductions for film screenings and adjust as needed.
• Assist in gathering and organizing materials from filmmakers for Marketing, Publications, and PR.
• Organize SIFF 2027 Jury members (15-20), arrange travel, coordinate with Guest Relations.
• Prepare daily schedule for SIFF Jury Members.
• Ensure all jury members have links to view films in competition.
• Prepare awards for shipping and complete award paperwork.
• Other duties as assigned.
