Job summary

Pinnacle Fertility is seeking a Surgery Center Medical Assistant to support both clinic and surgical operations in Chicago, IL. This full-time, onsite role involves assisting with patient care, preparing for procedures, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and the care team.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, Medical Assistant program completion, and BLS certification. CST certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience in Operating Room (OR) preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience and/or training or equivalent education/experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of surgical protocols, compliance requirements, and infection control standards.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in patients, verify medical history, and update information.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Take vital signs, draw blood, and administer injections.
• Prepare examination rooms and stock supplies.
• Maintain up-to-date EMR records.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and medications.
• Support OR and in-office procedures as needed.
• Ensure sterile technique and infection control throughout.
