Job summary

Spring Fertility is seeking a Financial Counselor to assist patients with treatment estimates and explain financial options. You will determine insurance coverage and educate patients on their financial responsibilities, while communicating the patient financial status to internal teams.

This onsite role requires about 40 hours per week and strong billing knowledge. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in fertility or healthcare, with proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of experience in fertility or healthcare.
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with treatment estimates and explain financial options.
• Determine insurance coverage and educate patients on financial responsibilities.
• Communicate financial status to internal staff clearly and concisely.
• Initiate prior authorizations per insurance requirements.
• Ensure reimbursement for non-insured and under-insured patients.
• Analyze accounts receivable and resolve related issues.
• Assist with registration errors and proper insurance documentation.
