Job summary

CCRM Fertility, a leading fertility care provider, is opening a brand-new clinic and seeking a Patient Financial Counselor to manage patient financial matters and optimize the revenue cycle. This role educates patients on insurance timelines and responsibilities, coordinating pre-authorization and payments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year medical billing experience preferred.
• Experience in reproductive medicine or women’s health preferred.
• Prior experience with Athena preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the financial aspects of patient care and services.
• Educate patients on financial services and timelines for insurance payments.
• Serve as primary contact for financial matters and explain guidelines and policies.
• Verify insurance benefits and track changes during care.
• Collect payments prior to scheduled services and ensure valid insurance data is in the chart.
• Identify and resolve insurance coverage discrepancies with patients.
