Job summary

Manus Bio in Augusta, GA is seeking a Fermentation Plant Operator to support efficient fermentation and downstream operations. You will interface with production, prepare equipment per SOPs, collect samples, and maintain batch records while ensuring safety and quality.

You will assist in maintenance, troubleshoot processes, participate in pilot plant activities, and help optimize operations in a startup-like environment with strong teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years fermentation or related plant operator experience.
• Must be able to follow minimal instructions and support safe work practices.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a collaborative setting.
• Familiar with fermentation and downstream processes and equipment and microbiological/analytical lab procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interface with production to provide resources to solve fermentation and product isolation problems.
• Execute and help evaluate fermentation experiments.
• Prepare fermentation and downstream equipment per SOPs and collect samples.
• Prepare batch records and communicate design parameters to subject matter experts.
• Coordinate day-to-day Fermentation Plant activities and maintenance scheduling.
• Assist with Fermentation Plant maintenance activities and equipment modifications.
• Maintain fermentation plant safety and environmental compliance.
