Job summary

Manus Bio, a next-generation biotechnol­ogy company, seeks a Fermentation Plant Operator to join its manufacturing and process development team in Augusta, GA. The role focuses on operating the fermentation plant, maintaining equipment, and supporting pilot plant activities.

You will monitor processes, collect samples, prepare batch records, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve production challenges while adhering to safety, EH&S, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years fermentation or related plant operator experience.
• Must be able to follow minimal instructions and support safe work practices.
• Excellent team player with strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Familiar with production fermentation and downstream processes and equipment; able to use microbiological and analytical lab procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interface with production to provide resources to solve fermentation and product isolation problems.
• Execute and help evaluate fermentation experiments; prepare fermentation and downstream equipment per SOPs; collect samples during manufacturing.
• Prepare all batch records and reflect changing experimental designs; communicate parameters to subject matter expert.
• Coordinate day-to-day fermentation plant activities, including scheduling, maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment issues.
• Maintain fermentation plant equipment; assist in maintenance tasks and ensure EH&S compliance and safety.
• Work is shift-based and may vary with plan and extraordinary conditions.
• Ensure fermentation plant compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
