Job summary

OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT & BUDGET is seeking an Assistant Analyst / Analyst for the FEMA Revenue Accountability and Reporting Unit. The role supports budgeting, tracking, and management of Federal funding and revenue to aid disaster recovery efforts and ensure timely revenue recognition.

The position requires an analytical mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment at 255 Greenwich Street.

Responsibilities

• Assist in budgeting, tracking and managing Federal funding and revenue, supporting disaster response.
• Support fiscal review of expenditures for grant reimbursements and revenue/cash receipt recognition.
• Ensure fiscal impact of Federal grant awards is reflected in the City’s budget and accounting guidance.
• Monitor forecast and year-to-date expenditures; perform basic risk assessments; propose corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain reports for budget, expenditure, and revenue data accessibility for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with agencies to create required accounting entries in the City’s Financial Management System (FMS).
• Assist in developing and running ad-hoc queries, InfoAdvantage reports, and SAP Crystal downloads.
• Provide support for process improvements or analytical projects as needed.
