Job summary

Ambipar is seeking a Financial & Grants Manager to lead financial management, grants administration, cost documentation, compliance monitoring, and reporting for FEMA disaster recovery programs. You will coordinate with the Program Manager, project teams, procurement, finance, legal, and FEMA to ensure proper documentation and timely reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Emergency Management, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in financial management, grants management, or federal programs.
• Experience with FEMA Public Assistance and federal grant administration requirements.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to manage large datasets and dashboards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial management and grants administration for FEMA disaster recovery programs.
• Monitor budgets, expenditures, obligations, reimbursements, funding, and financial performance.
• Review costs, invoices, contracts, and procurement records for compliance and allowability.
• Ensure compliance with FEMA requirements, federal regulations, cost principles, and audit standards.
• Provide guidance on eligible costs, documentation, and grant requirements to project teams.
• Develop and maintain financial trackers, reconciliations, dashboards, and reports.
• Identify financial and compliance risks and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support audits, monitoring reviews, and project closeout activities.
• Coordinate with Program Manager, finance, procurement, legal, FEMA, and stakeholders on grants matters.
• Recommend process improvements and internal controls to strengthen performance.
