Job summary

EisnerAmper is seeking a Staff Consultant - FEMA in our Government Services Practice. The role focuses on FEMA compliance, 2 CFR 200, and supporting complex disaster recovery programs for state and local clients.

The position emphasizes strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with opportunities to assist in proposals and business development, including occasional travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in state and/or local disaster recovery programs administering FEMA funds.
• Knowledge of FEMA disaster programs, regulations, policies and processes, and compliance/financial management functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Safety, Emergency Management, Disaster Management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support compliance with FEMA regulations and 2 CFR 200, assessing audit readiness, compliance and gaps.
• Support complex closeout of multiple open disasters.
• Assist client financial management and accounting functions, including time and cost tracking and reconciliation.
• Use knowledge to determine method of program implementation.
• Ensure timely and accurate development of all client deliverables.
• Engage in business development activities and proposal submissions.
• Occasionally travel to/work from different firm offices or client locations.
