Job summary

EisnerAmper is seeking a Staff Consultant - FEMA in our Government Services Practice. This role focuses on FEMA-funded initiatives and compliance functions, requiring knowledge of FEMA regulations and state/local recovery programs.

The position involves supporting complex projects across regulatory compliance and financial management, delivering client-focused solutions, and may require travel to various firm offices or client locations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in state and/or local disaster recovery programs administering FEMA funds.
• Knowledge of FEMA disaster programs, including related statutes, regulations, and policies and processes, and compliance and/or financial management functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Safety, Emergency Management, Disaster Management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support compliance with FEMA regulations and 2 CFR 200, including audit readiness and gaps.
• Assist in expediting closeout of multiple open disasters.
• Support client financial management, including time and cost unit operations, cost tracking and reconciliation.
• Help determine method of program implementation.
• Ensure timely and accurate development of client deliverables.
• Engage in business development: identify funding opportunities and submission of proposals.
• Occasionally work extended hours or travel to/work from different firm offices and/or client locations.
