Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 5 years of in‑field experience or 2 years with professional registration.
• Domestic travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts site inspections to validate and document infrastructure damage, including photos, sketches and damage descriptions.
• Develops and reviews scopes of work and cost estimates per codes and standards.
• Reviews engineering reports, designs, and as‑built plans; makes recommendations on claim eligibility.
• Coordinates with applicants to prioritize projects and communicates final determinations.
• Provides analyses and updates to FEMA and identifies need for technical specialists.
• May coordinate basic to moderately complex inspections to aid FEMA Public Assistance delivery.
