Qualifications

Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a FEMA Badge (Public Trust).
Knowledge of design applications and technical knowledge.
Knowledge of technologies and methodologies in construction materials.
Good organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Conducts site inspections to validate and record infrastructure damage, takes photographs, makes sketches, and writes damage descriptions.
Reviews and analyzes engineering reports, designs, and as‑built plans.
Makes recommendations regarding claim eligibility and develops hazard mitigation proposals.
Coordinates meetings with applicants and communicates final determinations.
Provides analyses, updates reports, and identifies need for technical specialists.
May coordinate basic to moderately complex site inspections for FEMA Public Assistance.
