Job summary

Tyson Foods in Sedalia, MO is seeking a warehouse-style worker for the 2nd shift (10:00 pm–6:00 am). Responsibilities include cleaning the feed mill, weighing trucks, unloading trailers, and performing routine inventories.

You may relieve other staff and rotate duties as needed, with occasional weekends/holidays required. You must obtain a forklift license within 10 days and comply with all safety rules and procedures.

• Weigh ingredient trucks and annotate appropriate documentation.
• Unload warehouse delivery trailers.
• Perform inventories of feed ingredient bins.
• Perform a daily micro-ingredient bag count for FDA record.
• Hours from 10:00 pm to 06:00 am.
• Work some weekends and holidays, as required.

• Clean equipment magnets as required.
• Perform inventories of feed ingredient bins.
• Perform a daily micro-ingredient bag count for FDA record.
• Hours from 10:00 pm to 06:00 am.
• Work some weekends and holidays, as required.
• Must be able to secure a forklift license within 10 days.
• Ability to communicate well with vendors, farmers and other professionals.
• Must be able to work without supervision.
• Ability to climb fixed ladders and work at heights.
• Must abide by all department safety rules and operation procedures.
• Must not own any poultry flock (other than Tyson’s).
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• May be subject to rotation.

Responsibilities (Spanish)

• Principal responsabilidad: Limpiar la bodega/o hacer alimento (barrido, pala, fregado, etc.).
• Responsabilidad: Aliviar el alimentado y distribuidor como se necesite.
• Pesar los ingredientes de los camiones y llenar el papeleo necesario.
• Descargar los camiones.
• Limpieza del equipo magnético como se requiera.
• Poder hacer inventario de los ingredientes (granos).
• Contar diariamente las bolsas de ingredientes micro para los archivos de FDA.
• Engrasar la maquinaria verificar y limpiar los imanes diariamente.
• De lunes-viernes, 10:00 pm a las 06:00 am.
• Trabajara algunos fines de semanas y días feriados como se necesite.
• Poder obtener una licencia de forklift dentro de los primero 10 días.
• Habilidad de comunicarse bien con los proveedores, agricultores y otros profesionales.
• Poder trabajar bien sin supervisión.
• Poder subir escalares y trabajar en alturas.
• Debe seguir todas las reglas de seguridad del Departamento y procedimientos de operación.
• No puede tener otras aves aparte de las de Tyson.
• Hacer otros trabajos asignados por su supervisor.

Pay and Rehire Criteria

Pay rate: $17.25/Hour

• Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.
• Also, if you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more you will not be eligible for rehire.
