Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Optima, OK is seeking an Assistant Feed Mill Manager to support the Feed Mill Manager in daily operations, supervising production staff, overseeing production workflow, quality, costs and safety across the mill.

Responsibilities include assigning work, ensuring GMP standards, understanding material flows, maintaining inventory accuracy, training staff, and preparing reports while collaborating with supervisors and internal/external customers on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Understanding of automation systems including mechanical or electrical experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating/maintenance instructions.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of people.

Responsibilities

• Determine work assignments and adjust procedures to meet production schedules.
• Oversee adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices for quality.
• Learn flow of materials and operate all areas of the Feed Mill and automation systems.
• Review daily usage and inventory; investigate discrepancies.
• Train new employees and address performance issues.
• Prepare reports and delegate duties to staff.
