Qualifications

  • Have mobility required to ensure the safety of children.
  • Repetitive bending, walking and stretching.
  • Work outdoors in any variety of weather.
  • Visual and hearing capabilities necessary to maintain safety.
  • Perform light duty cleaning.

Responsibilities

  • Report to Director or Head Teacher upon arrival for daily assignment.
  • Work as a team member to meet the needs of the children classroom and center as a whole.
  • Meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of each child.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Report any suspect abuse to supervisor.
  • Clean and arrange classroom environment in accordance to program goals.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Attend in-service and staff meetings.
  • Meet all applicable licensing regulations.
  • Daily assignments may include coverage for other staff during breaks and planning time, clean toys and educational materials, clean common areas such as bathrooms, kitchen, break room and outdoor play areas, remove garbage, inventory supplies, organize art and supplies cabinets.
  • Occasional front office duty may include answering phones, answering door for parents and visitors, making copies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Location

Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 209.

Job Summary

The Floater is responsible for aiding the Lead Teachers in providing a safe and developmentally appropriate child development program for the children in the assigned classroom in accordance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures. Occasional front office duty as needed.

Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

Child Development Technical Diploma or Early Childhood Education Technical Diplomas.

Minimum 1 year in child care setting.
