AVER, LLC seeks a PMP-certified Technical Project Manager to support a federal CIO PMO. You will oversee complex portfolios, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive disciplined planning with executive reporting across evolving initiatives.

The role demands strong communication, organization, and proactive leadership, delivering structured project artifacts, governance, and metrics to ensure government mission success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in technical project management or PMO roles leading complex multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Hands-on Scrum Master experience facilitating ceremonies and enabling Agile teams.
• Proven Agile delivery in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and cross-team coordination.
• Ability to elicit requirements via stakeholder interviews, workshops, and structured discovery.
• Strong understanding of PM methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience developing project plans, WBS structures, schedules, and analytical artifacts.
• Ability to interpret KPIs and feedback to drive improvements.
• Experience supporting change management and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent executive-level briefing and communication skills.
• Able to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Support Agile Scrum Master activities, facilitating ceremonies and removing impediments.
• Manage sprint planning cadence, backlog refinement, iterative releases, and cross-team coordination.
• Elicit requirements and clarify business needs with customer teams.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, lead workshops, and manage discovery.
• Lead and coordinate PMO activities with clear plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables aligned with CIO priorities.
• Manage budgeting, cost tracking, and resource planning to support execution.
• Prepare structured reports with findings and recommended improvements to management.
• Develop WBS, schedules, charts, and diagrams to support planning and decision-making.
• Interpret KPIs and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvements across initiatives.
• Assist change management including stakeholder communication and adoption planning.
• Prepare executive-ready briefings and status updates for PMO and CIO audiences.
• Provide daily direction to staff to ensure alignment and progress across projects.
