Job summary

HumanTouch is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support delivery, governance, and oversight of a federal IT support program in Washington, DC. The role leads PMO activities, planning, reporting, and coordination across teams to ensure on-time, quality deliverables.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in PMO operations or IT service delivery, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills for government clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, MIS or related field; master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in project management, program support, PMO operations, or IT service delivery.
• Experience leading a PMO function, preferably on a federal contract.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating staff activities.
• Experience supporting IT operations, service desk, end-user support, or IT deployment.
• Knowledge of project management practices: schedule, risk, issue tracking, change mgmt, status reporting.
• Ability to translate operations into concise reports and customer-ready deliverables.
• Strong customer service orientation and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical teams and government stakeholders.
• Attention to detail, organization, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, SharePoint, Teams; ITSM tools like ServiceNow/Jira.

Responsibilities

• Lead PMO activities for the program, including governance, planning, reporting cadence, and cross-workstream coordination.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and action item trackers.
• Track contract deliverables and ensure timely customer delivery.
• Prepare program status reports, dashboards, and executive briefings.
• Manage risk, issue, and decision logs; support mitigation planning and escalation.
• Facilitate program meetings and governance discussions with stakeholders.
• Coordinate across service desk, desktop support, deployment, quality, and administrative teams.
• Monitor SLAs, KPIs, quality standards, and contract requirements.
• Develop workflows, SOPs, process guides, and recurring reports.
• Support QA and continuous improvement, audits, and corrective actions.
• Lead or coordinate subordinate managers and coordinators as assigned.
• Build strong relationships with government customers and subcontractors.
• Support growth & proposal efforts within assigned portfolio.
